Rev. Johnson Oatman, Jr. wrote these lyrics in 1898. We loved the way this song was written and composed. Seeing as this song isn’t as widely known as some other hymns, we thought it would be a great idea to highlight the powerful words within this praise song. We used the original tune from Geo. C. Hugg for the four verses, and altered the chorus to offer an alternative version of the song. We believe these simple additions maintain a smooth but dynamic piece. We hope you enjoy listening to this song just as much, if not more, than we enjoyed recording it (Revelation 5:8-14).
