This song was written as a declaration that the Lord is able to lift up our lives out of the darkness of sin, and strengthen us to be transformed into His people, doing His work. As a response to the Lord’s grace in strengthening us to rise above our past, we will trust in the Lord, not allowing our faith to waiver in times of trouble (Isaiah 40:31, Jeremiah 17:7-8).
