This song was written based on a mission trip’s theme verses about the Romans Road to Salvation. It declares that salvation is not based on what we say or do, but whether or not we have accepted the Grace of God (Ephesians 2:8-9). We all struggle with life and the temptations that we face in our daily lives (Romans 3:23). And because God is perfect, anything less than perfection is unable to live in harmony with God (Romans 6:23). But Christ made the ultimate sacrifice for us so that there might be a way that we can live with Him (Romans 5:8). It’s not about the words we say or the works we do that can justify our actions, but only when we confess His name and believe He’s alive, that the Grace of God can transform our lives on a continuing basis (Romans 10:9-13).
